Generation after generation, each summer began with the same familiar scen e - June’s golden light, a car overflowing with suitcases and toys, and the inevitable stack of school books, more aspirational than necessary. For us, raised with Forte as a constant, summer memories smell like pine trees and spaghetti alle arselle."
Forte dei Marmi is glamorous, simple, retro, and gentle. A small town, nestled between marble mountains and the sea, that carries the essence of the dolce vita and the charm of life’s most simple joys.

A DAY IN
FORTE DEI MARMI
Wednesday morning. 9 AM. No alarm, just birdsong and golden sunlight. You slip into a bathing suit and linen kimono.
Breakfast unfolds slowly—veranda, fresh fruit, espresso, laughter. Then, with the last bite of a biscotto, someone says, "Andiamo al mercato?"
IT’S MARKET TIME.
A tresure hunt of cachemire, linens, hats. Finds tucked into your bike basket, and off to the beach.
You park at Bagno Assunta (of course).
Your cabina key is waiting—the same one since childhood. Shoes off, a good book, sunlit chats with old friends. Then, spaghetti alle arselle, barefoot, with the scent of fried calamari drifting on the sea breeze. A glass of chilled white wine, warm sand beneath your feet. Afternoons bring card games under the tent, sunbathing, or (true fortemarmino style) a bike ride home for a nap in the pine shade.
By 6 PM, it’s a quick change and off to Tennis Roma.
FINALLY,
aperitivo time.
Under your beach tent for something intimate, at Le Boe with your feet in the sand, Almarosa for cocktails. In Pietrasanta? A sip of sophistication among vernissages. One too many drinks, then dinner. Cozy and creative in Pietrasanta, lively in town, or best of all—on the beach. A ride to Gilda, a plate of spaghetti alle arselle, your table on the sand, and a retro gentleman singing Sapore di Sale.
THE NIGHT IS YOUNG.
